Wavelengths

Super Pulsed Laser (905nm)

Super pulsed infrared laser (905 nm) GaAS is the essential component of Multi Radiance Medical technology. Multi Radiance Medical super pulsed lasers deliver billionths-of-a-second pulses, combined with up to 50,000 mW of peak power for a higher concentration of light energy, or photons, driven deeper into the target tissue without any risk of overheating.

Super pulsing allows for deeper penetration than a laser of the same wavelength that is not super pulsed but has the same average output power. This is because short pulses allow for quick absorption. In addition, the period between pulses promotes a better environment for optimal pain relief.

Pulsed Broadband Infrared (860nm)

IREDs emit non-coherent infrared light and while it may penetrate less deeply into the body than the super pulsed laser, it offers a unique biological response. The IREDs in the emitter contain broadband diodes, this creates a bandwidth shift that can be up to 100nm. This varying and constantly changing stimulus reduces biological adaptation to the light stimulus and further fills in gaps of the therapeutic window.

Pulsed Non-coherent Narrowband Red (660nm)

Penetrates only superficially (about 1- 2cm). While depth is limited, red light exerts a very favorable therapeutic effect on the inflammatory process, especially in tissues saturated with porous connective tissues by enhancing the depth of penetration and proton distribution of other wavelengths used. . Red light is ideal for localized pain relief, improvement of microcirculation and reduction of inflammation.

Pulsing Non-coherent Narrowband Blue Light (465nm)

Penetrates rather poorly, due to the almost complete absorption in the superficial layers of the skin; however, that makes it ideally suited to treat conditions of the skin. The 465 nm blue LED light retains some of the antibacterial properties of UV light, without the risks associated with UV overexposure. Blue light therapies have shown promise in treating MRSA and inflammatory skin conditions.
