What is Acupressure?

Acupressure is an alternative medicine technique similar in principle to acupuncture. It is based on the concept of life energy which flows through "meridians" in the body.

How does Acupressure work?

In treatment, physical pressure is applied to acupressure points with the aim of clearing blockages along energy pathways called meridians.

What are Meridians?

Meridians are energetic pathways running throughout the body. Each meridian is directly or indirectly associated with an organ system. There are 12 Major Meridians and 2 Extraordinary Vessels that we use in acupressure treatment.

Specific light wavelengths are used to penetrate the skin and affect the underlying tissues.

How do lasers work?

Multi Radiance Super Pulsed Lasers use innovative technology to deliver light energy to tissue, which reduces pain and increases circulation.

Multi Radiance Medical uses three clinically proven wavelengths: 660 nm, 875 nm and 905 nm to cover the entire spectrum therapeutic window of light for deeper penetration and enhanced absorption of light.

Super pulsing allows for deeper penetration than a laser of the same wavelength that is not super pulsed but has the same average output power. This is because short pulses allow for quick absorption. In addition, the period between pulses promotes a better environment for optimal pain relief.

Multi Radiance Super Pulsed Lasers are low level lasers, also called soft lasers. They will not degrade or damage tissues and eye protection is not required with their use.

What makes Multi Radiance Lasers different from other therapeutic lasers?
